"Best Of" Seattle Contest Held Voting Online: Largest In Sixteen Year History

Seattle's KING 5 announced the winners of Evening Magazine's Best of Western Washington powered by CityVoter last week. During a few week contest period, more than 150,000 votes were collected across more than 170 categories to determine this year's winners. Western Washington locals voted for their favorite businesses on the Best of Western Washington on http://best.KING5.com. KING 5's Best Guide is the premier destination for local information, featuring descriptions, photos, maps, and real-life customer comments on the top local businesses. The guide provides local businesses with a platform to easily create, manage, and promote their own web content and gives consumers the power to choose the best businesses and post comments, photos, and more.

This year was the biggest in the contest's sixteen year history. More than 3,500 local businesses, people and places competed to be named the Best of Western Washington. The more than 170 categories included categories included businesses such as Burger, Day Spa, Pilates Studio, Sushi, Art Museum, and Live Music Venue. Voters were also invited to weigh in on hottest local fireman, best teacher, and favorite local athletes. The full online list of 2008 winners is posted at http://best.KING5.com. Each winner will receive a winners' sign in the mail.
