New England Cable News launches 2009 Cape Cod A-List, powered by CityVoter

Boston, MA - July 1, 2009

NECN announces it is partnering with CityVoter, the leading local social media platform, to power the 2009 Cape Cod A-List. CityVoter welcomes NECN to the growing CityVoter client community, which reaches more than 30 percent of U.S Households.

NECN's Cape Cod A-List (www.necn.com/alist) features descriptions, photos, maps and comments on the best businesses on Cape Cod and the Islands. This summer, users of the guide are being invited to nominate, vote for and comment on their favorite local spots in the 2009 Cape Cod A-List competition. Businesses on the Cape and the Islands can also log in to the guide to easily create, manage, and promote their own web profile, at no charge.

This eight-week voting period began in June and ends on August 9th; winners will be announced online the week of August 23rd. Thousands of people have already voted for their favorite businesses in 75 categories - users can check out the leaders in each category by visiting http://www.necn.com/alist. After voting ends, all the winners and nominees will be featured in a special section of NECN's Cape Cod A-List Guide, offering visitors the inside scoop on the Cape's finest.

"The Cape and Islands are an integral part of NECN's viewership, and the Cape Cod A-List has already driven a great deal of web traffic to NECN," said Ted McEnroe, Director of Digital Media for NECN.com. "When the voting period concludes, we look forward to highlighting the best businesses on the Cape and Islands as determined by the most important critics of all - the people who visit them every day."

NECN has distinguished itself as a leader in the region and has excelled at creating unique targeted programming. The A-List is a great example of how NECN is bringing its expertise in programming online with great regional content," said Josh Walker, CityVoter's founder and CEO. "We are thrilled to partner with them to develop the Cape Cod A-List.
