Online Guide Closes Second Annual Contest to Allow Viewers to Acknowledge their Favorite Boston Businesses

Boston, June 12, 2007 - Boston's wbztv.com announces the winners of the "2007 Best of the WBZ-TV A-List," powered by CityVoter. The second annual competition invites thousands of Bostonians to vote for their favorite businesses on the WBZ-TV A-List on www.wbztv.com/alist. The WBZ-TV A-List is the premier destination for local information, featuring descriptions, photos, videos, maps, and real-life customer comments on the top local businesses. The WBZ-TV A-List provides local businesses with a platform to easily create, manage, and promote their own web content and gives consumers the power to choose the best businesses and post comments, photos, and more.

In just one year, the WBZ-TV A-List has doubled in size, currently featuring information, photos, and reviews on over 2,400 local businesses. The two-month long contest drew roughly 10,000 votes per week for more than 100 categories such as Burger, Day Spa, Pilates Studio, Sushi, Art Museum, and Live Music Venue. A new set of winners in selected categories will be posted every day this week on www.wbztv.com/alist. The online list of 2007 winners will be posted on June 15th and they will receive winners' signs in the mail.

"With the increasingly innovative opportunities that digital media can bring to local companies, we are pleased with the amount of engagement and the increased number of local businesses taking advantage of this opportunity," said Stephanie K. Miller, Director of Digital Media for wbztv.com and tv38.com. "We had a 100% increase in the number of local businesses participating since last year which is testament to power of digital media and internet marketing."

"We are thrilled to see so many local businesses receive the recognition they deserve on the WBZ-TV A-List," comments Josh Walker, CityVoter CEO. "Although we work with thousands of small business owners across the country, as a Cambridge-based company, seeing the positive impact in our favorite local spots is especially gratifying. As customers increasingly go online to find local vendors, we are proud to support WBZ-TV's commitment to providing local businesses a valuable online presence at no charge."
