The WPBF A-List, powered by CityVoter.com, continues to grow through user-generated content from local businesses, consumers, and viewers who vote for their favorite local spots

WPBF announced the completion of the 2008 Best of the WPBF A-List contest, powered by CityVoter.com. Winners are revealed the week of June 9-13 on www.wpbf.com/alist. During the second-annual competition, thousands of locals voted for their favorite businesses online at www.wpbf.com/alist.

More than 11,000 users have logged into the WPBF A-List to share their insight with information, ratings, and reviews on the best local businesses, making the A-List the premier destination for the insiders' scoop on the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast.

The WPBF A-List gives consumers a social platform to interact with their favorite local businesses. During the ten-week-long contest, the WPBF A-List has added over 300 new listings, currently featuring information, photos, and reviews on over 1,400 local hot spots. More than 19,000 votes were cast for more than 90 categories such as Burger, Day Spa, Pet Sitting, Martial Arts, Sushi, Art Museum, and Live Music Venue.

The A-List has been a powerful addition to WPBF.com. Excluding news stories, the A-List was the 3rd most popular page on WPBF.com in 2007, helping the site become the #1 local television station website in the market. Advertisers are excited to be a part of this popular local program.

"The WPBF A-List is a valuable resource for local businesses and consumers; we are naturally thrilled to be able to bring this exciting interactive web content to our market," comments Caroline A Taplett, WPBF Vice President and General Manager.

"It's exciting to see the WPBF A-List, powered by CityVoter.com, take hold in West Palm Beach," comments Josh Walker, Chief Executive Officer, CityVoter, Inc.
