CityVoter Expands Partnership with Belo
Cambridge, MA - April 6, 2009
CityVoter.com, the leading social media platform for the insider's scoop, today announced an expansion of its partnership with Belo. CityVoter.com, began working with Belo's KING 5 in Seattle last Fall and is now expanding within that market with a Northwest Escapes guide as well as into the Spokane and Dallas markets. Belo's KREM in Spokane launched Z Best of Spokane.com today and WFAA Dallas will begin their annual voting in mid April. CityVoter provides these stations with the CityVoter social platform, allowing insiders who know a city best to share their insight with information, ratings, and reviews on the everyday decisions that affect people's daily lives.
CityVoter.com works with traditional media companies-television, radio and newspapers-to help them successfully converge with digital media, engage and monetize local audiences, and immerse their brands into the local social experience. Each partner launches with a contest inviting consumers to browse, vote for, comment on, and nominate their favorite local businesses, providing the insider's scoop on everyday decisions, eliminating the guesswork from daily life.
"We have been very pleased with our initial efforts with CityVoter and look forward to great results in our new markets" said President and General Manager Ray Heacox. "We have had a nice lift in page views, local unique visitors and registration plus the number of businesses listed has increased at a brisk pace."
"Belo continues to innovate and expand its digital reach, and we're excited to be part of this strategy," said Josh Walker, CityVoter CEO and founder. "We've seen their promotional power in Seattle and the Northwest, and we are eager to help Belo grow their audiences in Dallas and Spokane."
