DENVER RECOGNIZES FAVORITE LOCAL BUSINESSES AS THE 2008 WINNERS OF THE DENVER'S 7 A-LIST, POWERED BY CITYVOTER
Presented by Public Service Credit Union, Denver's 7 A-List generates local buzz and connects the community with user-generated content from local businesses, consumers, and viewers
Denver, Colorado -September 29, 2008- Denver's 7 announces the winners of the 2008 Denver's 7 A-List, powered by CityVoter, the second-annual competition in which thousands of locals vote online at www.kmgh.com/alist for their favorite businesses. Sponsored by Public Service Credit Union, Denver's 7 A-List features more than 2,800 local businesses and has rapidly become the premier destination for local information, featuring descriptions, photos, maps, and recommendations on Denver's top local businesses.
Denver's 7 A-List, powered by CityVoter launched in July 2007 and exploded with user-generated content. At the end of the first 8-weeks, the guide had grown from an estimated 800 local businesses to feature roughly 1,800 businesses and had generated close to 90,000 votes and more than 1.3million pageviews.
Based on the huge popularity, the uniquely local content and the recognition it provided the local business community, the guide is a natural fit for Public Service Credit Union who came on board as the 2008 Denver's 7 A-List Presenting Sponsor.
The second annual contest ran from July 28 to September 19, 2008, generating more than 1.6 million pageviews. Again, the community responded enthusiastically, nominating over 600 new businesses and casting close to 90,000 votes for more than 100 categories such as Italian restaurants and wedding photographers.
A new set of winners in selected categories will be posted every day this week on www.kmgh.com/alist. The complete list of 2008 winners will be posted on October 3rd, and will receive access to marketing materials that help them promote their win.
